James Everingham is a British film composer and producer based in Los Angeles. Most recently, James co-scored Jason Momoa’s 9-part Apple TV series, Chief of War, alongside Hans Zimmer. James worked closely with Native Hawaiian artists to bring authenticity to the score, and the series topped Apple TV global rankings and has been praised in media commentary as among the most ambitious dramas of 2025.
While working at Emmy award-winning Bleeding Fingers Music between 2018 and 2025, James worked on a huge variety of projects including Minecraft, Super Bowl LVI, and Encounter Dinosaurs - an interactive experience developed by Apple that launched with the Vision Pro. In 2023, James scored the JJ Abrams produced IMAX film The Blue Angels, which reached #8 in the domestic box office and #1 on Prime Video.
In 2020, James was granted unprecedented access to the Royal Albert Hall to lead a special project capturing a meticulously detailed sample library of the Hall’s 9,999 pipe organ - working closely with world-renowned organists and spatial audio experts as part of the 150th anniversary of the building.
James has also worked on a number of other major productions alongside Zimmer, most notably BBC’s Frozen Planet II which featured Norwegian singer AURORA, and BBC’s critically acclaimed crime-drama Virdee. Both have cemented his reputation for working on high-profile, groundbreaking productions.
