James was exposed to a variety of musical genres throughout his childhood, and discovered a passion for film and score in his early teens. This saw his music go on to be used by the likes of Netflix, BBC, National Geographic and FX Networks among others, catching the attention of Extreme Music CEO Russell Emanuel, and shortly after, Hans Zimmer. At 19, James recorded his first feature film score at Abbey Road Studios in London, and is currently based in Bristol, UK. Recent work includes the Cannes shortlisted 'Chasing the Wind', Amazon Prime's 'Grand Prix Driver’, and National Geographic’s ‘Apollo: Missions to the Moon’, in collaboration with Hans Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers Music.
